Join Jeff Quattrone, a self described Jersey tomatologist and local seed historian, in a conversation about the Jersey tomato as an intersection of Jersey culture, tomato breeding, and local seed and food history. Since 2017, Quattrone and community partners have revived six functionally extinct Jersey tomatoes in South Jersey. The project has grown into an American Folklife and Foodway one by documenting the cultural significance of the Jersey tomato by looking through the lens of South Jersey's deep seed history and the impact of tomato breeding here.
